Diameter and color are reasons we ply, how does it work and how does the number of plies affect it. Jacey takes bulky singles and creates 2-, 3-, 4-, 5-, and 6-ply yarns then compares the color and diameter. Using the yarns for visual comparison along with WPI and YPP Jacey explores how each added ply affects the yarn. Each time we add a ply our yarn gets bulkier but not by as much as the previous ply we added (this is called the law of diminishing returns).
