I'm not sure what to call my drafting style: semi-woolen? with a side order of double drafting out the fat bits. I also pull it sideway instead of straight out in front of me. Don't know what to call that. Then I loves me a good chain ply. This is my go to draft if I have nothing special in mind. Right now I'm doing a solid short forward smoothing down high twist deal (and high twist ply) for spinning socks. Can't wait to get back to my draft mojo

I’m loving the new sessions so far (I’m only through the second video). I can’t wait to hear all the questions about drafts on the zoom. If you are in Jillian’s patreon, one of the bingo squares this month is about exploring your least favorite draft, so I’m going to be exploring more into the different ways to spin from the fold.

I got an error that the zoom had reached a max of 100 participants and no additional participants can join. Anyone else having that issue?

Thanks Laura & Jacey for hosting tonight’s spin-in. It’s especially nice to connect with other spinners during these dark, drab Winter months when I’m starting to feel even more like a shut-in than usual. 🤣So enjoyable to set aside some uninterrupted spinning time and see what everyone else is working on.

In the beginning of the zoom there was a discussion about how when yer at a festival and people are all wearing the same sweater and it sometimes feels like a cult. We knit the same sweater from the same designers using the same yarn. I think it was Laura who talked about the similarities to the Cup fetish happening right now. and I saw this article I thought might add to that discussion:
