I'm not understanding how that is answering my question-- I guess I wasn't understanding the discussion--not understanding what the problem is that demonstrates that more twist needs to be added to the single, or that more twist needs to be added to the ply. Do you know what that problem is? And then, when that problem occurs, how would you know if it is the single that is the problem or the ply that is the problem.
I think that, in your reply above, you are saying that when you are knitting, if you see the ply untwisting, you would know that you need to add more ply twist, and that makes sense to me--what about not enough twist in the single?
